Trip to PA

I have recently returned from a two week trip to Pennsylvania! The trip started, of course, at home.

My old SCEFC youth group passed through on their way to an event in Kansas City named Challenge. On their way back, they did the same. We spent a day touring the town. Well, Indianapolis is more of a city.

At 4 o'clock in the morning, the thirteen of us (two adults, my brother, the youth, and me) loaded into a fifteen passenger can. There were only four of us who had stayed up the whole time. I called us "The Fantastic Four That Stayed Up Until Four." As soon as we loaded into the van, we all fell asleep.

It was a short trip considering that there were lots of sleepy teenagers packed in a van. I sat (and slept) with my first 'roomie,' Brianna. We spent time together binge watching entire seasons on Netflix, went to Panera together (though she worked and I sat), and went to see the new Transformers movie. Out of five stars, I would give it a four. (Some things kind of annoyed me about it!)

It was an exciting four days! Like all good things, though, they must come to an end. I met up with another friend! I met up with my old neighbor, Adelaide, and spent the night at her place from Wednesday night to Sunday morning. We spent time sucking in helium, playing flashlight tag, and, of course, binge watching on Netflix. Again, I had to say goodbye to a close friend and hop across town to stay with my next 'roomie,' Rachel.

While spending the night at Rachel's house, I got to sing along to Disney music for several hours, play a fun game on my iPod, and watch episodes of Person of Interest that I haven't seen yet. I also got to play some of my favorite card games, Phase 10 and Dutch Blitz.

My final stop was at Lauren's house. My friend, her sister, and I got to working on several short movies that we never completely finished. But dressing up for the part was still fun and worth the time! We also binge watched Gravity FallsThe Legend of Korra, and The Lord of the Rings.

On Friday, Lauren's mother drove us to Dayton where we stayed the night with Lauren's aunt. The next morning, we met up with grandma and I was taken to my grandparents' house.

FUNNY STORY TIME:

I had been taking a shower in my grandparent's basement bathroom. I thought that I was at their house alone because my grandparents were going golfing and we weren't sure when my mom was going to come into town. Well, on my way up the stairs, I was bombarded with pillows and the cries of my brothers screaming, "SURPRISE!"

Unaware that my brothers (and mom) had already made it into town, I automatically assumed that some type of intruder had broken into the house and was about to kill me! I screamed loudly, threw the bag of candy I was about to open, and began to cry. I had never been more scared in my life!

My brothers (and mom) felt guilty about the whole thing. They wouldn't have done it if they would have known that I would have completely wigged out. I am able to laugh about it now, but it was terrifying then!

On Sunday afternoon, we surprised my aunt and uncle at the airport as they returned home from Ecuador. After that, I was finally back home in Indiana. It was so good to be back in my own bed and using my own wifi.

And that concludes my exciting two week adventure! I hope to have more exciting trips like this in the near future.

My Head Boo-Boo

I've been known to be a clumsy at times. Okay, well most of the time. Take for example the time that I went into Half-Priced Bookstore. I knelt down to look at the price of an item and, as I stood back up, I banged my head against one of those hooks with a price tag on it.

"Ouch." That is all I have to say about that.

Well Hello There

Maybe I should start by saying a salutation. Hello there!

My name is Jenna and I'm going into my senior year of high school. Though, I believe it should be said, I am homeschooled. If I score well on the GED, then my school year will be very easy. I will read, write, learn Spanish, and take the SAT and ACT.

I hope to get a job in the next few weeks. I would like to work at a movie theater because of the benefits. Free movies. That's really why. If I test well (see above) then I can work during the school year as well. Money!

I have recently moved to the grand state of Indiana. I have left lots of friends from Pennsylvania behind and so I have decided to make a blog so that I can easily share what has been going on in my life since the move.

It has been a little over a week and my family and I have settled in. Mostly. We still have some boxes in our garage that need a proper home. Besides that, everything is really coming together. My room looks so wonderful! It is girly and orange! And don't even get me started on my closet!

I have two younger brothers, two loving parents, and an adorable Boston Terrier named Abby.

I believe I covered the basics! I cannot wait to share more stories!
